However, these two cells are very much different with respect to each other in many ways. Bacteria, in terms of the cell wall, has a soft cell wall in which the main component is peptidoglycan while for fungi their cell wall is mostly made up of chitin which makes it hard.The other similarity is that they are both heterotrophs (obtain their food the same way) that is they obtain food from complex organic compounds.
