#4- In your notebook, identify a relationship between two characters, and
characterize that relationship. Use evidence/ quote from the text to establish
your claim.
#5- What was it about the first paragraph in your independent reading book
that hooked you? Specific imagery ? Language? Setting or goals revealed ?
#6- In your notebook, discuss a conflict that you see in the story. Is it an
internal conflict inside the character's head, or is it an external conflict, where
the character is clashing with other people?
#7 - Select a line from your literature circle book that is rich in imagery. Why
does this line stand out for you? What is the impact?
#8 - Can you think of one character from your book that you share any traits
with? What are they? If you can't think of any you share can you find some
that are opposite?
#9 - Describe the setting of your novel. Setting: time, place, location. How do
you think the protagonist feels in this setting?
#10- What is the tone of your book? How do you know ? Find a line that represents that
