A Helping Hand
Bert and his friend Harry were walking past the store when Bert said, "I really wonder how I am going to finish all this work by the end of the day. I need to be on time to watch the soccer game with my brother Dave."
"Don't worry so much. I'm sure you will be able to complete it on time. You make it seem like it is a Herculean task!" said Harry.
"I have a million chores to do, Harry. I have to mow the lawn, help Mom with the groceries, and after that, I have to deliver a package to my uncle who lives a few miles away!" said Bert, wiping the sweat off his forehead.
"If you organize your work and plan your time well, you will be able to reach the stadium on time," Harry assured him.
Harry thought of the time when he had so much work to complete just before he was leaving for France with his family for a vacation, and how his friend had offered to help him. That way, he had been able to complete everything in time.
"Maybe I can help you by delivering the package to your uncle. Text the address to me," offered Harry.
"Thanks, that would be great! Uncle Bernard needs the package by 4 p.m. because he has a meeting after that, so please deliver it to him before evening," said Bert.
"Of course, I will do that," said Harry.
"Harry, thanks again for your help! It really takes a few worries off my head. I will see you tomorrow," said Bert as he walked up the stairs to his house.
