Review the twenty-ninth and thirtieth paragraphs.
The Correspondent
There was a longstanding mystery in my family that
revolved around my father and his sister, my Aunt Allison:
she and my dad never got along. I didn't know why. But
whenever I pressed my dad, he wouldn't tell me anything.
He said they were like "oil and water"-they just didn't mix.
2 As an aspiring journalist, I wasn't buying it; I knew there
had to be some dirt. My grandparents' upcoming fiftieth
wedding anniversary party would give me the chance to
find it.
