For this activity, you will write a short blog article on the theory of cosmology set forth by the
late Stephen Hawking, one of the most prolific physicists of the past 50 years. As you
prepare to continue your research, review what we discussed in this unit, such as Hawking
theorizing that black holes may be a way to travel in space-specifically to a different
universe. In Hawking's final research paper before his death, he suggested the idea that there
might be a parallel universe or even an endless supply of them. In your own words, and from
the research you will gather, explain how a black hole could be a possible tunnel to another
universe. Since your research requires a video and web page resource, you will need to listen
and take notes; if necessary, use the closed captioning functionality to assure that your
research is accurate. Make sure to include the following talking points:
• Dissect what it means to have a "parallel universe"
• Discuss how many parallel universes scientists believe exist
