Based on your research, you may present the information in one of two ways:

Whether you choose to make a slide presentation or write an essay, all projects should include the following information:


Details about the athlete’s career prior to being injured

How the athlete sustained the injury

How the injury affected their career and their personal well-being

How the athlete dealt with the injury physically AND emotionally

Where the athlete is today and what they are doing

You may also choose to include other relevant details about their lives and experiences, particularly if these details impacted their athletic career.


Essays should include a clear introductory paragraph, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphs should be well-crafted, with a clear thesis statement.


Slide presentations should display pertinent textual information on each slide, appropriate graphics that support the information, and be well-organized and easy to read and understand.
