Answer :
“Preaching is God speaking in the power of His Spirit about His Son from His word through a man.”
Why was the church at Thessalonica important?
Due to its strategic location and significance on the Egnatian Way, a significant Roman road, Thessalonica was a significant city in Macedonia (present-day Greece). Paul's second missionary voyage took him and Silas from Phillipi to Thessalonica to proclaim the gospel of Jesus.
Indignant Thessalonian Jews organized a mob to throw the men out of the city after he spent three weeks lecturing in their synagogue. But "several of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as did a great number of God-fearing Greeks and even a number of distinguished ladies" (Acts 17:4). That marked the start of the Thessalonica church.
In Berea, Paul found a much more receptive audience (verses 11 and 12).The Bereans considered Paul’s words and compared them with the Scriptures instead of taking offense and resisting the gospel as the Thessalonians had.
