S. Epidermis is a gram-positive, penicillin-resistant bacterium. Since this antibiotic does not pass through S. epidermis. As there was penicillium in the other half, it will manufacture penicillin but not be able to eradicate the S. epidermis bacteria. After one week, the results would indicate that S. epidermis and penicillium were being developed concurrently because the penicillium provides little resistance. After one week, S. epidermidis and Penicillium will both be growing concurrently, with S. epidermis also growing on top of Penicillium. S. epidermis is not porous since it is resistant to pencillin.
