[tex]a^n[/tex]a is the base and n is the exponent
a is the number we will multiply the number of times indicated by n
In the example given the bases are 2,3,6 and the exponent is 4
for base 2 and the exponent 4, the operation is
[tex]2^4=2\times2\times2\times2=16[/tex]for base 3 and the exponent 4 the operation is
[tex]3^4=3\times3\times3\times3=81[/tex]if we have the same exponent we can use the next rule
[tex]a^n\times b^n=(a\cdot b)^n[/tex]in our example
[tex]{2}^4\times{3}^4=(2\times3)^4=6^4[/tex]the result of our example is
[tex]\begin{gathered} {2}^4\times{3}^4={6}^4 \\ 6^4=1296 \end{gathered}[/tex]
