The Best President
In homeroom on Monday morning, Mrs. Abou asked who wanted to run for
student body president. At first, nobody volunteered. Gidja was new at Union
Middle School. Should he run? Why not? He raised his hand.
"Thank you, Gidja," said Mrs. Abou.
Gidja looked around the room. Caden's hand was also raised. Caden was
popular in school, but Gidja didn't know him well.
The election would be Friday. On Tuesday morning, Gidja put up posters
