Scenario #1: You are going to a summer carnival with your friends. You have $16 to spend on rides
and games. Ride tickets cost $4 and game tickets cost $2. The equation 4x + 2y = 16 models this
situation, where x is the number of ride tickets you buy and y is the number of game tickets you buy.
Task #1: Graph the equation either by converting to slope-intercept form or by finding the x- and y-
intercepts. Show work for whichever method you choose. Don't forget to label and mark off units on
your axes.
