Meiosis is a reductional division that is used to produce gametes and involves two divisions. In meiosis I, there isra ecombination of homologous chromosomes, and the dtwo aughter cells have aon set of chromosomes with thwo sister chromatids; in meosis II, the sister crhomatisds get separated, and we end with 4 haploid gametes.
