Answer :
A. Medulla puts a person’s life in the most danger because it may cause breathing to stop.
The medulla oblongata, also referred to as the medulla, is the lowest portion of the brain and brainstem. The foramen magnum aperture at the base of the skull is where the medulla oblongata links to the spinal cord. It is also connected posteriorly with the midbrain via the pons. The medulla oblongata is essential for signal transmission between the spinal cord and upper brain regions as well as for managing autonomic functions like breathing and heartbeat. The ventral medulla (the frontal region) and the dorsal medulla are the two primary divisions of the medulla (the rear portion; also known as the tegmentum). The pyramidal tracts are housed within a pair of triangular structures known as pyramids found in the ventral medulla. The corticospinal tract and the corticobulbar tract make up the pyramidal tracts, which connect the cerebral cortex to the spinal cord (running from the motor cortex of the frontal lobe to the cranial nerves in the brainstem). The great majority (80 to 90 percent) of corticospinal tracts cross as they descend into the lower part of the medulla (directly above the junction with the spinal cord), creating the region known as the decussation of the pyramids. The olivary bodies, which are situated laterally on the pyramids, are another pair of paired structures that are housed in the ventral medulla.
