The conversion of solar energy into the chemical energy of carbohydrates occurs during the process of photosynthesis
Photosynthesis is a process that occurs in plants which makes use of chlorophyll, light source, water, and carbon dioxide. In which the light falls on the chlorophyll, the light energy(which is mostly solar energy) is converted into chemical energy such as carbohydrates in various plants of plants.
Plants absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) from the air and soil during photosynthesis. Water is oxidized in plant cells. H. Giving up electrons while carbon dioxide is being reduced. H. Receive electrons. Water will turn into oxygen whereas carbon dioxide will turn into glucose.
