Answer :

As the consequences of the French and Indian war the Great Britain gained enormous territorial gains in North America, but disputes over subsequent frontier policy and paying the war's expenses led to colonial discontent, and ultimately to the American Revolution.

French and Indian war also known as the Seven Year wars began in 1754 and concluded with the Treaty of Paris in 1763. The victory of the Great Britain had a significant impact on the British Empire. Britain was able expand its territorial claims in the New World. However, the cost of the war caused Britain’s national debt to increase drastically. In addition, the war generated considerable resentment among English leaders towards the colonists as they were unsatisfied with the financial and military assistance they had received from the colonists during the war.

These factors together convinced many English leaders that the colonies needed a major reorganization with central authority in London. They devised plans to increase London’s governmental control over the colonies and these plans eventually a contributed to the colonial resentment towards British imperial policies that led to the American Revolution.
