On your bar graph, indicate which type of coal has the highest energy yield when burned. Also, indicate which type of coal is most plentiful in the United States.

Describe three clean coal technologies and how they can mitigate the environmental impacts of coal. Explain how they work and provide a source that provides evidence of the use of clean coal technology today.

Step 4

Consider that one of the major causes of environmental degradation is not accounting for the cost of environmental harm in many of the products we use. Coal is one of our cheapest fuel sources.
