What is Pregnancy?

This is referred to as the period in which a fetus develops inside a uterus. It starts from the day the sperm fertilizes the eggs and undergoes implantation till when the baby is given birth to. It also comprises of three trimesters for humans and is a nine month period.

Blood spotting occurs when the cervix experiences some form of irritation due to sex or examination of the region. It can also occur around the period when the individual would have been due for her period.

It could be as a result of a growth known as polyp which is harmless and are therefore the reasons why light bleeding or spotting isn't really a major concern for pregnant women.
