11. Roofing A roof is designed to have an 12 slope, that is, 8 inches of rise per
foot of run. The total run of one side of the roof is 16 ft. (See the figure
below.) Find the total length of the rafter by doing parts (a) through (d):
(a) Use the Pythagorean theorem to find the ULL, unit line length.
(b) Multiply the ULL by the run to find R in inches.
(c) Add the length of the overhang as shown.
(d) Give the answer in feet and inches to the nearest inch.
