I am honored to present the Frogdale Distinguished Citizen Award to local
artist Clarissa Washington. As many of you know, Clarissa Washington was born
in Frogdale and got her start as a painter in art classes at Frogdale High School.
Today her paintings, many depicting familiar Frogdale scenes, hang in museums
and private collections around the world. Her murals painted on the walls of the
Frogdale Public Library have also recently begun attracting tourists and art lovers
to our town. Please join me in celebrating this distinguished member of our
community.
