A film review expresses an opinion about the quality of a film and gives reasons for recommending it. In this activity, you will write a film review in the form of an essay. Your review should be at least 750 words. The introduction of your essay should include a strong thesis statement that conveys the main idea of your review. The main idea might be a comparison of how the film and text portray a central theme. Or it might compare and contrast a specific aspect of the film and text, such as plot, character, or setting. As you discuss this main idea in your review, be sure to cover these elements:

plot summary
setting
characterization
theme
performance of the actors
