please read all the instructions before answering (answer should be 1 paragraph long)
"1. READ the following grievances from the Declaration of Independence about the King of England

“He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for public Good” (the king wouldn't approve laws passed by the colony's legislative bodies that were necessary)

“He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing Importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained, and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.”
(When laws were suspended because the king didn't approve them, he never addressed them at all - he neglected them and left the colonies waiting even though the laws were important)

“He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary Powers.”
(The king would not allow the colonies to elect their own judges but instead appointed his own that would be biased- he also took away the benefit of trial by jury, which is where your peers are helping to determine your consequences)

2. CHOOSE ONE of the grievances and answer this question:
How does the Constitution protect against the grievance you chose? What did the framers (the founders of the country) put into the Constitution to make sure that grievance would not happen in America?"

thanks!
