The senior network engineer has asked you to implement some security on a switch in a small network. The Router and DHCP Server is configured, and nothing needs to be done with them. The Gigabit ports that the Router and DHCP server are configured and should not be changed. The switch is what needs configured.
Use the following table to begin configuring the switch:
Create two VLANs, VLAN 20 STUDENT and VLAN 99 PARKING (use same case for names)
Use VLAN 20 for the Management VLAN using the IP in the table.
Assign ports F0/1-6 as Access ports in VLAN 20.
Enable port security on these ports with a max of 5 addresses and sticky learning. The violation mode should be protect.
Enable PortFast on these ports.
All other FastEthernet ports should be Access ports assigned to VLAN 99 and shutdown.
Configure SSH on the switch using the information in the table. Have your Modulus be 1024. Assign to all VTY ports.
Change each of the PCs to obtain an address from DHCP. The Server is already configured and the PCs should get their IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway if the switchports are configured correctly. Ping the gateway address from each PC to test connectivity and create traffic so Port Security can learn the MAC addresses.
