Big business and the federal government refers to ECONOMIC reforms: how did the federal government regulate big business to end monopolistic practices, help workers, etc?
Social reforms refers to SOCIAL reforms: What actions were taken by Progressives to improve the quality of life for all Americans?

Topic Sentence: clearly state which area of reform and how good of a job the Progressive reformers did in that area.
