you stop a car for no license plates. after some preliminary inquiries, the driver, who is a student at the local medical school, allows you to search the trunk. he does this because he says that it is not his car, he borrowed it from his roommate (who is not present). you are, in fact, able to confirm the story that the car does not belong to the driver, although he has regular use of it. in the trunk are drugs. a check of the driver comes back clear, no warrants. the driver does not work outside of attending medical school; he brings this up as it relates to not owning a car, hoping to keep expenses to a minimum. you are unable at the time to confirm he does not own a vehicle but does have a drivers license.
