a=0.98 m / s^2
Since this is a deceleration rate, then it should be negative. Then,
a=-0.98 m / s^2
formula for displacement
d=[vf^2-vi^2 ]/[2a]
Since the sled will be stopping, then vf = 0 m/s. We now have
d=[(0 m / s-(m m / s ^2 ]/[2-0.98 m /s^2]
