Please help!! Show actual calculations, not pictures!!
*The mass of reactant is 0.698g and that is the actual yield as well since it is the purified distillate, we started with 5.0mL of cyclohexanol and added 2.5mL of 9M sulfuric acid and mixed the two. After dehydration the mass of the distillate was 0.698g.
1. Calculate the % yield of the alkene C6H12 isomer products by assuming they have a molar mass of 84.16 g/mole. The 4-methyl-2-pentanol reactant has a molar mass of 102.17 g/mole. Show your entire math set-up including numbers and units to calculate the theoretical yield of C6H12 isomeric alkenes as well as the % yield.
2. Assume that the 4-methyl-2-pentanol is the limiting reactant and there is a 1 mole reactant: 1 mole isomeric alkene C6H12 molar ratio. Show the theoretical yield set-up for 4-methyl-2-pentanol progression from volume of alcohol reactant ----->mass alcohol reactant ------> moles alcohol reactant -----> moles of isomeric alkene product -----> mass isomeric alkene product.
*The density of 4-methyl-2-pentanol is 0.8075 g/mL at 20 degrees C.
*Remember also that, % Yield = (Actual yield/ Theoretical yield) X 100.
