Jenks Adventure Club is planning on going to an overnight summer camp that is
530 miles away in Birmingham, Alabama. While at the camp, the 213 students and
23 staff members will stay in cabins. Since there is a cost to rent each cabin, Jenks
Adventure Club doesn't not want to pay for more cabins than what they need.
Part 1: If each cabin sleeps 12 people, how many cabins will be needed?
This is how many cabins will be needed-1 Cats
Part 2: What fraction of the beds in the last cabin will be empty? Make sure to write
your answer in lowest terms.
Part 3: Using the coordinate graph, create a map of the campsite. The location of
each cabin should be represented and labeled on the map. You can choose where the
cabins are located but you will need to have at least two cabins located in each
quadrant to make sure they are spaced out enough at the campsite.
• List the ordered pair for the location of each cabin.
Part 4: Pretend you walk to visit your friends who are in 5 different cabins. Map out
your path and calculate the distance from your cabin and back.
