Based on the reading thus far and the viewing of the video, how is McCarthy able to make the post-apocalyptic world seem so real and utterly terrifying? Which descriptive passages are especially vivid and visceral (based on deep feeling and emotional reactions rather than on reason or thought )in their description of this landscape? What do you find to be the most horrifying features of this world and the survivors who inhabit it?

Take your time to answer these questions in essay format. You must give citations to support your stance or beliefs. Make sure to reference page numbers in the book. There should be no less than 3 book references with citation. You can use references form the video, too, but there must be at least 3 references from the book to support your paper.
