Why was the the American Federal government split into three, equal branches of *
government?
This was done to guarentee that an all-powerfull leader could not take away the
rights of the individual citizen.
The Government wanted to have more power and control over the individual citizen.
O The individual citizen was considered weak and unable to elect good leaders.
This split showed that the Articles of Confederation was strong and the Constitution
was a weak set of laws.
