There are 4 types of blood-A, B, AB, and O. These are the phenotypes for the genes that give us our blood type. The
reason for the 4 blood types is the multiple alleles that the genes for blood type have. Also, the gene for type A and
the gene for type B are codominant; the gene for type O is recessive. In addition, types A and B can be homozygous or
heterozygous.
