In the hot springs that Collin Scott fell into, the sulfuric acid is dissolved in the hot water. When this occurs, the hydrogen atoms tend to dissociate (detach from) the sulfuric acid molecule, but the oxygen stays bonded to the central sulfur atom producing H= ions and SO42- ions in the water. Given what you know about the different types of bonds that present in this molecule from question 13, why do think this occurs?
