The Congress of the United States of America
did, on November 15, 1777, the Second Year
of the Independence of America, agree to a
set of rules for our new confederacy.
These Articles of Confederation bring together
the states of New Hampshire, Massachusetts-
bay, Rhode Island and Providence.
Plantations, Connecticut, New-York, New-
Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland,
Virginia, North-Carolina, South-Carolina and
Georgia.
The name of this confederacy shall be "The
United States of America."
Each state keeps control, freedom, and
independence. Some powers, as discussed in
these Articles, are to be given to the United
States Congress.
