Read about the organisms and their resource availability below. Analyze the forest food web. Then match the organisms with the interaction you predict they will have in the ecosystem. Hint: some interactions may be used once, more than once or not at all.
In a forest ecosystem, two trees may grow close together. One tree grow taller to get more available light. One tree is better adapted to its environment and is therefore better able to survive. The other organism may not survive. In this example, it is the taller tree that is better adapted to its environment. With only 7 trees in the ecosystem, the resource availability of trees is low.
