King Hammurabi founded the Babylonian Empire. He
expanded the empire's territory through diplomacy.
Sargon of Akkad founded the Akkadian Empire, the world's
first empire.
The Babylonian Empire weakened and was conquered by
the Hittites.
After attempting to conquer too much territory, the Hittite
Empire fell.
The Sumerians were defeated by the Amorites.
