Why is it important for cells to stay small?
A. They need a high surface area to volume ratio because you have to get things into the cell and waste out, so if the volume of the cell is too big, the cell membrane (surface area) can't support getting those materials where they need
to go.
B. They need to be able to fit in all of the parts of the body to ensure all of the proper functions can be completed to keep you alive.
C. They need to be small so they can communicate with each other and attach to each other to make bigger cells when needed to make bigger organs like your
heart.
