Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the histories and cultures of Hispanic and Latino Americans. Although the words “Hispanic,” “Latino,” and—more recently—“Latinx” are often used to refer to the same populations, there are some key differences in their meanings.



When you hear or see the word “Hispanic,” which countries and languages do you think of first? Which do you think of first when you hear or see “Latino”?
