A. Each actor has a word taped on their
back that they do not know. Their
partner knows what it is and has to
have a conversation to provide clues
without saying any part of the word.
B. One actor starts with a sentence that
begins with a letter of the alphabet, the
other actor then begins another
sentence with the next letter of the
alphabet and the game continues. (The
actors don’t have to begin with the
letter “A”, but will cycle through the
alphabet once.)
C. The first actor says a statement and the
second actor acknowledges that they
heard what they said, and adds
something new to this conversation.
This activity will continue back and
forth.
D. An actor will not accept what their
stage partner says and slows down the
flow of the conversation.
E. The actors start speaking in English,
then, when someone from the audience
rings a bell, they start speaking a made-
up language. They will not change until
the bell is rung again. This can go back
and forth several times.
F. One actor starts a motion. When the
other actor says “freeze”, they freeze in
place and the two actors change places.
This person then starts with the frozen
motion, but then changes it to
something different.
G. One actor addresses their partner by a
made-up name, the other actor then
addresses them by a made-up name,
also. They then go on to establish the
setting and the task at-hand.
H. The two actors have an equal amount
of sharing of the speaking parts on-
stage.
I. One actor does an activity. The other
actor asks, “what are you doing?” The
person that is doing the activity, then
says a new thing to do, and the actor
that asked the question begins doing
that new activity that was mentioned.
J. One actor starts doing an activity from a
certain room, i.e. the kitchen. The next
actor then repeats the first action, then
does another activity for that same
room.
K. Each actor has suggestions from the
audience, on paper. As they are
speaking, they refer to the suggestions
to change-up the conversation.
L. A stage item is used differently than
what it is intended for, each time it is
passed to another actor.
