A. Minerals must be naturally made, rocks can be synthetic or natural.
B. Minerals must be inorganic (they cannot contain carbon), and rocks must contain carbon.
C. Minerals must be solid, rocks can be solid, liquid, or gas at room temperature.
D. Minerals must be pure (made up of the same chemical structure throughout the mineral), rocks can contain multiple compositions.
