GIVING BRAINLIEST (AND 100 POINTS)
Part II. This part contains only 2 questions. Each one is designed to allow you to discuss
details from the text (you will not be expected to include quotes-however, your details
should be clear enough that they connect to obvious moments in the text). 30 points
each for a total of 60. (please use a piece of notebook paper for your responses)
1. Hans and Rosa Hubermann welcome Leisel to their home and recognize that she
needs more than food and a roof over her head. She needs to have a sense of love
and belonging. Select either Hans or Rosa and describe using a minimum of 2
details from the text, how they provide Leisel with the security that she is loved
and that their home on Himmel Street is hers.
2. Multiple moments in part I of the story are directly linked to the theme: The
Power of Words. Link this theme to a specific character in a specific
moment from the text with clear and relevant details. Be sure to include a
statement that clearly states the lesson for the reader regarding what it is that
makes words so very powerful.
