The research topic of the country: Guatemala
Guatemala is a Central American country that sits south of Mexico and northwest of El Salvador and Honduras. And is situated in Central America. The land is about 108,890 sq km and 42,043 sq mi with a maximum length of 457 km and 284 mi. Furthermore, the land occupied by Guatemala is slightly smaller than the state of Tennessee. In addition to this, Guatemala's max population is,16.86 million people. Second, is the agriculture of Guatemala. The agriculture sector of Guatemala is a crucial component of the country’s economy. Representing twenty-five percent of the GDP and employing fifty percent of the labor force. Furthermore, the main crops are coffee, sugarcane, bananas, and cotton. In addition to this, the climate in Guatemala is, tropical and the weather is largely determined by geography and altitude. In addition, the highlands of this country tend to be much cooler than the coastal areas and lowlands. Third, the cultural background of Guatemala is. That Guatemala has a mix of Spanish and indigenous influences. Most Guatemalans value, honesty, family, honor, work, and education. Furthermore, the main religion of this country is Catholicism, about forty-five percent of the population is catholic, and 42 percent is Protestant. In addition, Guatemala's economic system is a mixed economic system.That “includes a variety of emerging private freedoms combined with centralized economic planning and government regulation” this according to globaledge.com. Finally, the ethnic groups of people in Guatemala. Forty-two percent of the people are Mestizo, eighteen percent white, nine percent k’iche, and eight percent kaqchikel.
