Mrs Mawisa, the head teacher at Monti High School wants to improve the management of her school’s data by using a database. The head teacher wants a custom designed database so that it will perfectly fit the needs and procedures of her school. She has been advised by the team of systems analysts that a Microsoft Access database would be sufficient for the school’s need to manage data about learners, teachers and subjects. The database will also keep track on classrooms in which specific subjects are taught. In Mrs Mawisa’s school, a teacher can only teach one subject. For example, a mathematics teacher teaches mathematics only. At any given point in time, there may be only one ongoing lesson for a particular subject in one specific classroom. However, different subjects may be taught in particular classroom at different times. For example, there can only be one ongoing mathematics lesson from 8:00am to 9:00 on Monday in classroom C1. However, classroom C1 can be used for Geography lessons from 9:15am to 10:15am, and Chemistry lessons from 10:30am to 11:30am. Using the information above, provide solutions to the following instructions: Section A: Entity Relationship Diagram [27 Marks] Use MS Word to produce and entity relationship diagram (ERD) that is suitable for this school’s database system.
