Sensation and Perception
Sensation and perception are two completely different elements. Sensation happens before a
person uses perception. Sensation is physically receiving a stimulus through one of the five
senses, while perception is the brain decoding the stimulus into something recognizable. With this
understanding, how would a person who is blind or deaf experience sensation and perception?
Does the brain process the sensation and perception differently in a blind or deaf person then a
person who can see and hear? Research how the brain works in a deaf or blind person and discuss
your findings here. Remember to add your citations and references to your discussion written in
APA format. Also, remember your discussion must be at least 200 words and responses to other
students at least 100 words.
