NEED DONE ASAP!!!!!In this assignment, you will create a bank brochure to attract new customers. The purpose of the
brochure is to provide information to show that your bank has the best options for a checking/debit
account. You will research at least three local banks of your choice. From your choices, pick the best
option as the bank you will promote and encourage others to join. Using reference materials and Internet
sites, you will collect information about the benefits and disadvantages of the banks you selected. Useful
references for gathering this information are at the end of this document. You will include a works-cited
document along with your completed brochure.
Step 1: Gather materials and necessary information.
a) You will collect the following data for your bank brochure:
• Search for three local banks. Find the benefits and disadvantages of each bank’s
checking accounts.
o Is a minimum balance required? Is there a minimum opening balance?
o Are there monthly fees?
o Can you earn interest on the checking account?
o Is there a check card?
o Are the account provider's ATMS free to use? If not, what types of charges
are there?
o Is online banking free? If not, what is the charge?
o Is there the ability to set up direct deposit?
o Is there 24/7 customer service? What types of services are available?
o Are there ATM rebates?
o Is there overdraft protection?
o Is there fraud Insurance?
o How do you open the checking account? Are there any special requirements?
• Be sure to copy the websites for your works-cited document.
• Choose the one bank you want to represent as the best option.
b) A strong brochure usually is brief, easy to carry, and clearly organized, and makes good use
of text and graphics.
c) Ask your teacher whether you will be using presentation, drawing, word processing, or artistic
software to develop the brochure. Word processing software usually includes brochure and
trifold templates.
Step 2: Consider the required elements of the brochure.
a) Open the document named student input brochure template. Your brochure should have
six panels (see Figure 1 below).
b) Panel 1 will serve as the cover of the brochure. It should have a title and introduce the
reader to the purpose of the brochure. It usually contains a hook to get the reader to open
the brochure. In addition, it should include an image of your choice, your name, your
teacher’s name, and the due date of the brochure.
c) Panel 2 should include checking information about your first local bank.
• Be sure to include the bank’s name, address, and details about the bank’s checking
accounts.
d) Panel 3 should include checking information about your second local bank.
• Be sure to include the bank’s name, address, and details about the bank’s checking
accounts.
e) Panel 4 should include checking information about your third local bank.
• Be sure to include the bank’s name, address, and details about the bank’s checking
accounts.
f) Panel 5 should include the reasons you think one bank is the best choice. Include a small
chart comparing the banks. Discuss the benefits and disadvantages of each bank to show
why your choice is the best.
g) Panel 6 should include information on the ease of joining the bank and on how to set up a
checking account.
Step 3: Think about these steps for creating a successful brochure.
a) Plan – Sketch out the brochure on a piece of paper.
b) Draft – Create a rough draft of the brochure.
c) Revise – Review your work, correct mistakes, and make improvements.
Step 4: Cite your sources.
a) Create a works-cited page at the end of the brochure. Click the tab insert and then click
page break. This will add a new page to the end of your brochure document. Title the
page, Works Cited.
b) On this page, create a list of the resources you used to complete the research. A simple
list of website titles and addresses (URLs) is acceptable. If you used print sources, list the
title, author, publisher, city, and date.
