Which area of the country was settled by diverse groups of Europeans such as the Dutch, Swedes, and the English?
O the New England colonies
O the Middle colonies
O the Southern colonies
O the Western territories

Answer :

New England colonies are areas of the country that were settled by diverse groups of Europeans such as the Dutch, Swedes, and the English.

Unlike the Chesapeake colonies, the New England colonies drew Puritan settlers who brought their families and not just a single indentured servant. Along with New England colonies, a wide variety of European immigrants came to the Middle colonies, including Germans, Scots-Irish, French, and Swedish families. The New England colonies, the Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, the Massachusetts Bay Colony, the Plymouth Colony, the Province of New Hampshire, as well as a few smaller, transient colonies, were all considered to be part of the New England Colonies of British America. When Plymouth Colony was incorporated into Massachusetts and Maine broke away from it, the New England colonies, which were once a part of the Thirteen Colonies, eventually formed five of the six states in New England.
