When we eat, food travels through the pharynx, esophagus, and stomach to the small intestine. The food is then digested
by the liver, gall bladder, and pancreas before it is absorbed into the bloodstream through the walls of the small intestine.
Byproduct that can't be absorbed continues to the colon before being excreted through the rectum and anus.
