15.9 - 2.65y  + 6.29y = 30.46

3.64y = 30.46 - 15.9

3.64y= 14.56

y= 14.56/3.64

y= 4

Substitute 4 for y in equation 1

x + y= 6

x + 4= 6

x= 6 - 4

x= 2

Hence 2 packs of hot dogs and 4 packs of hamburgers were bought
